Chimichurri was created by Jimmy Curry, an Irish emigrant to Argentina. In 1876, he travelled 22 days from Ireland to Argentina, where his name was changed to Chimichurri and his sauce connected the two countries.

Donal and Mathias met in college, where Mathias’ homemade chimichurri became a hit. When they discovered the Irish and Argentine connection in chimmichurri, it felt less like coincidence and more like destiny. After consulting a tarot card reader and being encouraged by what the cards foretold, they decided to create Twenty Two Days with the goal of spreading the love of chimichurri.
